An ozone destructor is a device or system designed to safely break down ozone (O₃), particularly in industrial or laboratory settings where ozone is used for disinfection, oxidation, or other processes but must be removed afterward to prevent harm.
It converts ozone (a toxic gas at high concentrations) back into oxygen (O₂), rendering the exhaust safe for release into the environment. Catalytic Destruction uses a catalyst. That enables breakdown of ozone at lower temperatures, more energy efficient. This application is common in HVAC systems and lab exhausts.
