Avoid contaminated water through microorganisms with our PAP-systems

When evaporative air coolers, wet separators or cooling towers are not properly operated, legionellae can occur and rapidly multiply. Drops of water filled with legionellae (aerosol) are released in the atmosphere and can trigger many diseases which can be harmful also for human beings. Our PAP-systems reliably prevent legionellae formations in an environmentally friendly way.

Reliably elimination of germs in cooling towers with ozone

Not only legionellae, but also pathogens as hepatitis, pneumococci or meningococci can be transmitted by evaporative air coolers. To prevent spreading germs, there is a regulation by German government about evaporative air coolers, cooling towers or wet separators (42. BlmSchV) since 19. August 2017.
The aim of this regulation is to eliminate emissions of legionellae and other germs through proper operation, and also through documentation and reporting obligations.
Our PAP-systems work environmental-friendly, sustainable and efficient while treating water with ozone. After ozonisation ozone degrade to normal oxygen. Emerging oxidation products are easily biological degradable and can be removed by biological filters. We offer suitable solutions for every field that works with evaporative air coolers, such as they occur in the industry, business or hotel business. There are also air cooler in offices and computer centres.

Reliably elimination of germs in cooling towers with ozone

Legionellae are rod-shaped bacteria, which can trigger several diseases. Symptoms from harmless flu-like symptoms to severe pneumonia, which can lead to death can occur.
Legionellae naturally occur in water in a very low concentration. When temperature is between 25°C – 45°C the bacteria are rapidly multiplying. Under temperatures of 20°C they can hardly multiply and above 60°C they will be killed. Especially in closed washing systems such as pipelines or cooling towers they rapidly multiply under optimal circumstances.
Contaminated water can lead to harmful infections. For this reason it is necessary to avoid any possibilities to multiply legionellae.
In Germany there were three big systems contaminated with legionellae. In January 2010 there were legionellae outbreaks in Ulm where 65 humans were diseased and 5 of them died. In Warstein in 2013 there were also 160 sufferers and 2 dead. Moreover there was an outbreak in Zweibrücken in 2012 with 17 sufferers.
In all three case the source of infection were evaporative air coolers. Therefore hygienic and proper function must be ensured.
We offer environmental-friendly treatment systems which are working with ozone.
