Room hygiene with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its mutations

ANSEROS has been dealing with the technology of oxidizing organic substances in air and water for 50 years. Bacteria and viruses contain lipids and proteins that have a carbon double bond C = C, which is easily broken with oxygen species and thus, killed in their essence. Depending on the disinfection rate, one speaks of disinfection or sterilization.
According to current state of knowledge in the Covid-19 pandemic, the transmission of the Sars-CoV-2 virus from person to person happens via aerosols that are exhaled by people. The virus is embedded in the water droplet of the aerosol and can move horizontally over a distance of several meters in order to meet other people who inhale the contaminated aerosol and become infected with it.
Only to a limited extent, a transmission prophylaxis while breathing can be reached by wearing a face mask.
Virus prophylaxis, i.e. disinfection of the aerosols, must be carried out actively during its transport, for example by scenting a room with infected people inside. Frankincense is well-known from antiquity and the Middle Ages, as a ball that shuttles through the entire nave. Essential oils have an appropriate vapor pressure for scenting without forming a visible smoke. Experiments with orange peel and oxygen have shown that an aerosol can be produced that colors potassium iodide paper blue. This represents a disinfection effect within a distance of 10 cm.

The action principle is copied from the natural atmosphere that nature has been using for millions of years. The emissions of biogenic isoprene (BVOC), e.g. from pine, lead, depending on temperature, to oxidation products. The so-called Secondary Organic Aerosols SOA are stimuli for chain reactions for the generation of hygienic fresh air.
Scenting with oxygen-containing SOA products cleans the room air oxidatively, immediately after the contamination. The scenting rate can be measured and regulated procedurally.
A central application of SOA products in RTL air conditioning systems prevents transmission from room to room and from floor to floor. Moreover, characteristic odors of buildings are prevented, which is useful for the preservation of a property´s value. The outdoor air proportion of an RTL air conditioning system is reduced, which is why the energy consumption for heating and cooling is significantly reduced, which ultimately likewise improves the CO2 balance of a building.
