Formerly, the disinfection of drinking water was a major factor in the containment of epidemics. Today still, it is an essential part of drinking water treatment. However, the disinfectants themselves can react with organic substances occurring naturally in the water (e.g. humic substances), with inorganic ions (e.g. bromide) or with organic micro-pollutants (e.g. pesticides) and form unintended organic and inorganic by-products potentially leading to health risks. The reaction of chlorine with organic material still used in some drinking water systems leads to the formation of carcinogenic chlorine organic compounds such as trihalomethane and haloacetic acids. Therefore, ozone is now used in many countries for disinfection and for the removal of organic substances in drinking water treatment. In this case, the formation of halogenated organic compounds can only become a problem if bromide is present in the water before treatment. Furthermore, the oxidation products of ozone are more biodegradable and can be removed with biologically activated filters, whilst organic chlorine compounds are not biodegradable. Another advantage of ozone is that specific microbial pathogens – such as cryptosporidium – that are highly resistant to traditional disinfection procedures can also be removed with ozone.
Anseros Cleaning and Sterilization Systems for Drinking Water
Solution for municipal water supply
Completely sterilized and clean water for municipal supply. This system can be easily integrated into existing municipal water systems without significant extra cost. A completely chemical-free treatment mechanism and simple plug-and-play installation makes it easy for you to meet international drinking water standards. This system can sterilize the water of smaller towns with an average flow rate from 30 to 3000 m3 / h.
Water supply to smaller towns
This system is equipped with a flow control system, as well as sensor equipment.
A completely chemical-free treatment mechanism and simple plug-and-play installation makes it easy for you to meet international drinking water standards. With flow rates from 5 to 500 m3 / h, it is ideal for drinking water supply of smaller towns.
Research and case studies with water
Anseros PAP pilot is a special version of the PAP family. It is customized for research and case studies of water.
The device combines in a perfect way for water analysis with flexibility and mobility. In Germany many renowned universities and research institutions take advantage of this system for pilot studies. The system is ideal for water research project and further upscaling can be estimated.
